Motorola PMNN4896A IMPRES 2 High-Capacity UL Division 2 Battery – 5550mAh Li-Ion IP68 for APX NEXT XE & APX NEXT
The Motorola PMNN4896A (also sold as the PMNN4896) is Motorola’s genuine high-capacity IMPRES 2 lithium-ion battery with UL Division 2 hazardous-location certification for APX NEXT XE and APX NEXT P25 smart radios. Its 5550mAh capacity is the largest available for the APX NEXT platform, about 26% more than the standard 4400mAh NNTN9217B. The UL Division 2 rating lets a properly configured radio work in areas where flammable gases, vapors or dust may be present.
It’s built for firefighters, hazmat teams, utilities, oil and gas, and industrial users who need the longest runtime and a hazardous-location rating in one battery. The APX NEXT runs LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, a touchscreen and the ViQi voice assistant all shift long, which takes a lot of power. IMPRES 2 technology works with Motorola IMPRES 2 chargers to condition the battery automatically, keep its capacity readings accurate and extend its cycle life. The battery is IP68 rated and submersible, and Motorola backs it with a 24-month warranty.
