Motorola PMLN6126A IMPRES 1-Wire Receive-Only Surveillance Kit – Beige, for APX & XPR Radios

Motorola PMLN6126A IMPRES 1-Wire Receive-Only Surveillance Kit – Beige, for APX & XPR Radios

The Motorola PMLN6126A (also sold as the PMLN6126) is a genuine Motorola beige 1-wire, receive-only surveillance kit for Motorola APX and MOTOTRBO XPR portable radios. A single wire carries radio audio to a translucent acoustic tube with an ear loop, so you can hear dispatch and team traffic privately and discreetly. The beige, skin-tone color blends in for covert work. The quick-disconnect tube is easy to swap and share between shifts. Rugged cables hold up to daily duty wear. Because it’s receive-only, there’s no mic or PTT on the kit. You listen through the earpiece and transmit with your radio’s own PTT and microphone.

Plainclothes officers, protective details, detectives, court officers, event security and command staff use the PMLN6126A when they mainly need to listen and want the lowest-profile kit possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Motorola PMLN6126A?

The PMLN6126A is Motorola’s beige 1-wire, receive-only IMPRES surveillance kit. It has a translucent acoustic tube, an ear loop and a quick disconnect, for APX and MOTOTRBO XPR radios.

What does “1-wire receive-only” mean?

The kit has a single wire to the earpiece, so you can listen privately. It has no microphone or PTT. To talk, you use the radio’s own PTT and microphone.

Which radios does the PMLN6126A fit?

The APX 1000 through APX 8000 XE family, the SRX 2200, and the MOTOTRBO XPR 6000 and XPR 7000 series. Motorola also lists the DP4400/DP4401 and MTP3000-series TETRA radios.

What’s the difference between the PMLN6126A and the PMLN6125A?

They’re the same 1-wire receive-only kit in different colors. The PMLN6126A is beige, and the PMLN6125A is black.

Can I add a microphone later?

Not to this kit. If you need to transmit from the kit, choose a 2-wire kit like the PMLN6128A or a 3-wire kit like the PMLN6124A.

Can the kit be shared between shifts?

Yes. The quick-disconnect translucent tube can be swapped, and fresh ear tips like the 5080370E97 keep it clean between users.

Is this a genuine Motorola surveillance kit?

Yes. The PMLN6126A is an original Motorola accessory.
